Ener G Wise Technologies™ was founded as a result of the need in the central part of New York State for a unique design firm to address considerations of home design and existing home retrofit with respect to energy utilization. The parent company, Brownell Lumber Co., has for years designed and manufactured a very well insulated home. For many years, the Brownell Post and Beam was the hallmark of super insulation and energy conservation.
During the mid 2000’s more of their customers began to request even better energy saving concepts that could be incorporated in their new homes. Pondering how to address these new concept requests from clients and still deliver the original product which built the Home Division of Brownell Lumber Co., it was felt that a new designated company was needed to concentrate on only those energy technologies that were becoming available to consumers in the latter part of the decade. Ener G Wise Technologies™ is a separate company that now focuses on constructing and maintaining homes that are extremely energy conscious and take advantage of the natural forms of energy replenishment, thereby leaving a minimal carbon footprint on the planet. The company also is involved in the retrofitting of existing structures using advances energy in utilization techniques to make those structures more affordable to operate and enjoy.
Our core beliefs are multifaceted. We start by minimizing the loss of energy from the structure. We concentrate on retrieving energy from all present sources that are contained in the home. And finally, we engineer to bring only renewable, clean forms of new energy into the home environment. The key to success is conservation of energy. The less that we waste needlessly, then the less we have to procure.
As each day goes by, there are new methods for accomplishing many of the amazing things that we only “thought” about just a few years ago. Staying abreast of all of the latest breakthroughs and technology is the main goal of Ener G Wise Technologies™ . We realize that with our past history of home manufacture and home building over nearly 60 years that we are in a position to bring the newest technologies concerning energy independence to fruition. We are very excited about the future. We are in a position to really make a difference to our future generations. We realize that it is time to jettison old comfortable techniques and to adopt new challenging ideas and concepts in building is upon us. Starting each day with an “open mind” seems to be a good way to start. So, at Ener G Wise Technologies™ , the “Sky is the Limit”. In fact, it is quite possible that we should have been looking up that way all along.
